Recommend it for couples seeking privacy and stunning views
The view from the villa is absolutely breathtaking, so beautiful that I couldn't stop staring at the ocean below every morning while enjoying a cup of coffee outside on the terrace. Also, I have to say, the communication with the on-site manager was exceptional, she arranged everything for us and even made sure we had a selection of groceries upon our arrival, which was a nice touch!
It wasn’t inexpensive, but given the experience, it felt justifiable.

Here’s what works – and what doesn’t
Incredible views from our private patio made mornings unforgettable! The villa was well-stocked, providing everything we needed to relax and enjoy our stay.
The steep walk back from the beach was quite a workout! Plus, access to WiFi was disappointing, making it tough to connect when needed.

The villa was perfect for our large family with two kids. We particularly loved the complimentary kayaks, which we used to explore the nearby Aquarium. Relaxing on our private deck with stunning sea views was a family highlight.
In my wife’s opinion, more local breakfast options would improve the experience.

Had an amazing time with friends. The villas felt like a home away from home, really relaxing. We loved exploring the nearby Aquarium and taking out the free kayaks. The kitchens had everything we needed to cook meals, which made our group vibe even better.
One downside was the steep hill that made getting to the beach a bit challenging. We ended up relying on driving more than we would have liked.

The exceptional service received from the staff truly stood out, highlighting their attentiveness and willingness to help. Enjoying snacks while lounging by the infinity pool with breathtaking ocean views was a highlight of relaxation. However, the steep hill to the beach presented a challenge at times, and a few more local breakfast options would have enhanced our mornings. Additionally, while the accommodations were mostly satisfactory, they were somewhat pricey for what was offered.

I stayed in the Deluxe One-Bedroom Villa for a week and the views were spectacular. Waking up to the sight of clouds over the rainforest outside the huge window was amazing. The private patio was perfect for sipping coffee and reading in the morning. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, making it easy to prepare meals. However, the WiFi was spotty and there were moments when the water pressure in the shower faded, which was frustrating.

During our stay, we truly appreciated the view from our large window that faced the rain forest. Each morning, sipping coffee on our private patio while enjoying the sights was a highlight. The kitchen was well-stocked, allowing us to prepare meals comfortably. Additionally, having our own entry area made it feel like a home away from home. The location offered an excellent base for exploring, with the beach just a short walk down the hill. The tranquility of the surroundings made our getaway incredibly relaxing.

The Pineapple Villa at Maca Bana was absolutely fantastic. With a huge outdoor space that had both relaxing lounge chairs and a dining area, we enjoyed every moment. Waking up to stunning views of the Caribbean Sea from the master bedroom was a highlight. The villa was beautifully furnished and the kitchen was fully stocked, making our stay so comfortable.
The steep hill to the beach might be difficult for some.
